become the biggest Pump and Dump scheme in history and result in people who are already very wealthy walking away with the retirement funds of working Americans?
Do you know what an “automated trading algorithm” is and why this software would ensure this outcome occurred automatically?
Bush never had any intention of allowing people to invest their own money. He was talking about investing part of Social Security via private firms hired as agents of the government. He was ready to give away part of the Social Security trust fund to people who were already invested in the market.
I also know what all of these terms refer to. Judging by the average level of conversation in here I’m pretty sure that very few if any in YA Politics other than myself are published authors in the field of Economics or Investing so can the “do you know what YOU”RE talking about?” garbage.
As long as everyone who opts out of social security is okay with being left to starve in the streets with no health care next time the stock market tanks, go for it. As for me, I’ll take less return and be sure of getting some money to live on when I’m old and unable to work.
